Focus Areas

Global Climate Indicators are used to describe how the climate system is changing across multiple aspects (e.g., frequency, intensity, persistence, spatial extent) beyond just the single climate variable of temperature. These indicators provide key information on components of the climate system: temperature and energy; atmospheric condition; ocean and water; and the cryosphere.

Inspired by the Global Climate Indicators, the following Focus Areas provide an overview of key parameters of climate change.
